Common questions.

Wait, you design but don't print?
Correct. We're a design studio, not a print shop. We design your piece and give you press-ready files. You take them to a printer of your choice — this saves you money (no design studio markup on printing) and gives you flexibility on quality, quantity, and timing.
Where should I get it printed?
Depends on what you need. For small runs of cards/flyers: Vistaprint or Moo are fine for budget. For higher quality: 4Over, Smartpress, or a local Michigan printer. We're happy to recommend specific options once we know your budget and quantity.
How fast can you turn around a flyer?
Most flyers go from first email to press-ready file in 2–3 business days. Rush jobs (24–48 hours) cost +50% — just ask if you need it fast.
Can you match my existing branding?
Yes. Send us your logo and any existing print pieces and we'll match the look. If you don't have established branding yet, we can establish it as part of the project.
What's a "press-ready" file?
It's a PDF formatted exactly the way printers expect: CMYK color mode, 0.125" bleed area, crop marks, embedded fonts, 300 DPI minimum. Without these, printers either reject the file or print it incorrectly. Every file we deliver has all of this baked in.
Will the colors print the way they look on screen?
Close, but not identical. Screens use RGB color (light) and printers use CMYK (ink). We design in CMYK from the start so what you see in proof is what you get in print. Colors will look slightly less vibrant than on screen — that's normal.
Do you do really small jobs?
Yes. A single business card design for $95 is a normal day. We don't have a minimum project size.
Can you redesign an existing piece?
Yes. Send us what you have and what's not working, and we'll redesign it. Usually the same price as a new design.
